God Never Changes
What is change? I’ve heard this said many times, that change is the only constant in life. We are guaranteed change. Some resist it and others embrace it, we all have different reactions to change.
Change can be exciting! But it can also be scary. Honestly, I don’t mind a little change now and then…if it's positive. But that’s the thing with change you just don’t know what to expect.
But change is not the only constant in life, God is always the same.

Does God Ever Change?
The short answer to that is…no God never changes. There are usually 2 common outcomes to change, it’s either for better or for worse. God is perfect so He couldn’t be any better than He already is, and He definitely wouldn’t change for the worse.
The fact that God doesn’t change is reassuring to me, I feel confident because I know that I can always depend on Him, regardless of what I may be going through. My situations may change, but my God never changes.
God Is Scriptures
God is not human-like some may believe, he is not a statue or an idol. God is a spirit. God is so mighty and powerful, and we may not always understand what He does, and we don’t have to.
He is always fair in His judgements. He is just, He is a rewarder for righteousness, He is a father to the fatherless, He is strength to the weak…He is everything to me.
John 4:24 - God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.
Malachi 3:6 - For I am the Lord, I change not; therefore ye sons of Jacob are not consumed.
Numbers 23:19 - God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?
Hebrews 13:8 - Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and today, and forever.
God’s Character
When we talk about God’s character, we are trying to understand who He is, what He is like, or what His personality is like. There are so many attributes to God, we couldn’t possibly cover them all at this time.
I will give you a few of the characteristics that I have personally experienced with God, my Heavenly Father. He has been so much more to me…I don’t know what I would do without Him, I don’t know where I would be without Him.
God Is Love
God is the definition of love; His love never wavers or changes. This is the type of love that is truly unconditional, no matter what you have done, God loves you anyway.
He loved us so much that He gave His only son Jesus to die for us although He knew that not all would accept Him. If that isn’t love, I don’t know what is.
God Is Faithful
God is faithful to us, even when we are not faithful to Him. His character doesn’t change based on our reactions. God is faithful to forgive, He forgives all sins regardless of how bad you may think you are, God forgives, and God loves you.
God is faithful to His promises, all the promises in the Word of God belong to us as believers, and God will always come through for us.
God Is Gracious/God Is Merciful
Because of God’s grace, the guilty are spared. We did nothing to deserve God’s mercy when He spared our lives by sending Jesus to die for each one of us.
But because God is so gracious, we now have the opportunity to have eternal life in Heaven with Him, that’s how good He is. God is good, all the time.
God Is Holy
There is no trace of evil in Him. There is no trace of any of the evils that we as humans have within ourselves. We can trust that God will always do what is right.
The Word Of God Never Changes
God’s Word is our guide to everyday life. What would we do without the Word of God? It guides and leads us, it's our lamp, it's our sword, and God speaks to us through His Word.
The Word of God is our weapon to defeat the enemy, it's what we use to build our faith. It’s everything to us…thank God that it never changes.
Change Of Heart
Although some may adapt easily to change and others completely resist it, there is one type of change that I endorse. That is a change of heart. When you accept Jesus into your heart, there is a change that you experience.
The Bible says that you become a new creature, old things are gone, and all things are new. It's like you become a new person!
What an opportunity, to become who God created you to be and follow the plan that He has for your life. If you are struggling with change, there is one change that I would advise you to embrace, and that is a change of heart through Jesus.
Have you accepted Jesus into your heart? What changes did you experience?
If you came across this article and you’re not a believer or you were a believer and you strayed away from God and you want to make Jesus, the Lord of your life say this prayer:
Jesus come into my heart. I turn my back on sin and I repent, and I trust in you. I confess that Jesus Christ is my personal Lord and Savior. Thank you, Jesus, for saving me. I accept by faith the free gift of salvation in Jesus’ name. Amen.
If you prayed that prayer, then you are saved, congratulations and welcome to the family of God. I will give you the advice that my pastor gave to me, you need to pray which is talking to God, that is how you build your relationship with Him.
He loves you and cares about everything that concerns you. Read your Bible every day. Go to church, find a Bible-believing church and tell someone that you are saved.
Ephesians 1:17-19
I pray that the Lord would give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that you may know him better. I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened so that you may know the hope to which He has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in the saints, and his incomparably great power for us who believe. In Jesus' name, I pray. Amen.
